HOTD is hosting our inaugural Orange Tie event Saturday June 22, in Piedmont, CA. All proceeds directly support serving the people of Black Rock City in 2019.
Dress in your Black Rock finery, and we’ll lead you through the kind of sensory experience that we’d do all the time if we had any class. We’ve designed a curated wine tasting with paired delicacies, handmade and executed by our surprisingly talented camp members. Each station will be led by a different member of our crew, and each will have its own unique style.
Following the curated portion of the event we will be hosting an after-party.
Our crew for this event includes a professional sommelier, jewelry makers, musicians, and chefs. In order to create a personal and intimate experience, we have limited the number of guests to 40 people.
This is a community and fundraising event for Hair of the Dog Lounge. Our fundraising goals are modest, and funds raised will be used as follows:
|$0 – $2000||Up to $2000 Will be directed toward alcohol, water, ice, and |
other bar supplies for serving the people of Black Rock City
at Burning Man 2019. This is in addition to the funds
already allocated in HOTD’s budget.
|$2000 – $3000||The next $1000 raised will be donated to a single art project|
chosen by guests during the event, from a short list of
projects chosen by HOTD camp members.
|$3000 – $4000||The next $1000 will be directed to infrastructure |
improvements for the interactivity of our bar and stage,
such as instruments, tables, and stools, for direct use by
our guests on-playa.
Funds will be raised via donations as well as a silent auction hosted during the after-party.
Entry includes an Alpha Dog engraved wine glass. Because, you know. You’ll need one.
Other thank-you gifts include a deck of HOTD’s house-designed Cards Against Your Burn, and a hand-made medallion designed by our own members and forged in our own foundry by our own hands.
Please see our tickets page for more information on donation levels.
